May 2012 Forecast – The Moon XVIII
The Moon signifies mysteries, conspiracies, the need to uncover what is hidden, the need to thread the thin line between sanity and insanity which is called genius. Focus on Mental health, depression, substance abuse.

The Moon - May 2012 TAROT Forecast

The Moon - Druidcraft TAROT

May could present itself as an enigma. It will be a month pushed by the need to KNOW MORE, and crawl out of the shadows. We will be forced to face issues we do not like to face, expose hidden agendas, uncover our fears and the things that make us question ourselves and the need to thread the thin line of genius and lunacy to find answers.

The Moon can either be empowering or crippling, depending on how strong we are as a person, mentally. Oftentimes, we see circumstances that bring the dread in us, particularly because we know the underlying issues, but refuse to face them. This is somehow a time when we want to embrace the saying “Ignorance is bliss.” But the Moon will push us to growth and polish our strength in facing such issues. We can not always hide or stay under the radar. Secrets and mysteries will always be made known, at the right time, whether we like it or not.

The Moon reminds us of these times, so we can always work towards strengthening our minds and spirit. It is useless to do nothing while everything is going smooth. It is best to empower ourselves whenever we have the opportunity to do so. The best times would be while we are enjoying the best times in our lives. When we do this, the best times really become the best times as we never let down our guard or sit on our laurels, foolishly thinking that everything remains rosy and fantastic.

Life has many sides to it, including the side we would rather not have. But these side must be acknowledged and studied. We need to be prepared for it. We need to be strong in facing and dealing with it.

The Moon tells us to include this in our everyday life. That we do not scamper to prepare only when we have already been immersed in unpleasantness, as it might be too late for us.

The Moon also has a tendency to bring out the “crazy” in us, with regard to our fears and insecurities. But it also has an equal tendency to bring out the “crazy” in us with regard to ideas, visions and creativity that can only bring innovation, freshness and brilliance, if we maintain a strong mind.

The month of May 2012 will be a time to put our life and progress into perspective according to the influence of the Moon. Use the Moon’s light to choose and decide wisely, always follow the path where it shines brightest so we do not find ourselves in the “place of shadows” – where the Moon doesn’t shine.

COMPANION BOOK MEANING:
To find this card in a reading is extremely auspicious, and may well indicate that you are entering a phase of successful creative endeavour. The Fferyllt card urges the many different aspects of yourself to cease being separated or compartmentalized – so that your heart can talk freely with your head; your sexual life with your emotional self, the personality you use at work with your creative, artistic self, and so on.

TAROT Card of the Day – TAROT Lesson:
With the Fferyllt card, also known as the TEMPERANCE TAROT Card, are encouraged to bridge the gap that exists in our lives. It is a reminder that the energies that are around us are favourable for us, to put the different areas in our lives in sync.

Temperance - TAROT Card of the Day

Temperance - Druidcraft TAROT

Temperance is not just about control or moderation, it is also about striking a balance and eliminating the extremes that could be detrimental to us. It is the process of finding our centre and firmly standing by it.

With Temperance, we cannot be partisan. But in saying so, it is actually a tough state to be in, as we can neither be black or white, but grey. It is tough, but it is also a blessing. Being gray opens our perspective to both the black and the white. We can also be open to what the left and right has to say. It is actually a blessing to be able to do this – to have this, as we see both sides evenly. We are able to appreciate them for what they represent or offer.

On a personal level, Temperance calls us to keep our emotions, thoughts and actions in check, and keep them settled. How do we achieve this? By getting into activities that strengthen all three, such as: meditation, exercise, education and the benevolence towards life and everything that lives alongside us.

It is but natural and ideal to balance emotions so we are not prone to the adverse effects of emotional extremes, which can easily lead to stress and other form of emotional turmoil. We become less angry, less easily agitated, which means we can control the tendency to have the roller-coaster of emotional highs and lows.

When we remain emotionally balanced, we are able to to enjoy the wonderful things around us and still be able to appreciate the wisdom in learning and overcoming the the not-so wonderful ones. It enables us to have a better appreciation of life and its many experiences.

Balance in our life, also means that we also become more realistic, accepting, and conducive to finding the one thing that all of us constantly seek – LOVE. With balance in our hearts, we bridge the gap between finding love within us and being able to share it to another – when the right time comes.

With Temperance, we are able to do grow as an individual. We become patient and willing to wait for the right time. We cease to be desperate, which makes us stronger, and receptive.

With Temperance comes wisdom and maturity, where we are not easily overwhelmed by our feelings. Instead, we are able to gauge and assess them in a very realistic and sensible way leading to better outcomes.

With Temperance, we are able to discipline our minds and become adept at handling or getting rid of anxieties, fears, worries and insecurities. Applying Temperance in our thought process gives us an open and wider perspective, resulting in wiser decisions and better actions.

Balancing our actions would prevent us from acting on impulse or making us less prone to aggression and harmful actions towards ourselves and others. This is crucial because, as soon as we manifests our thoughts, we could easily go down a path that cannot be undone.

Temperance would also ensure that we have the right strategies and plan we can put to action. These are realistic and executable actions that would serve our purpose. Temperance also shows us how to put others into considerations, regarding the consequences of our actions. We are not alone in this world. We are in constant interaction with others, at work, at home, or anywhere else we go – not just with people but also with our surroundings. So Temperance with our action signifies what we do to our environment, and considering how our actions will greatly affect the future generation.

Temperance also allows us to move in a moderate pace, not too slow and not too fast, to enjoy and savor each experience we have, whether we are into love, passion, learning or life in general. When we have Temperance, then nothing becomes mundane, because we find ourselves mindful and appreciative of everything that leads to change and encourages a new perspective.

Nine of Swords – TAROT Card of the Day

COMPANION BOOK MEANING:

Finding this card in a reading signifies mental anguish and suffering. It refers to those darkest periods in our lives when we experience the deepest sorrow. These times almost always involve relationships and our feelings of love, and so this card may indicate the torment we go through when a love affair or marriage ends, or when we suffer bereavement or are separated in some way from our partner.

TAROT Card of the Day – TAROT Lesson:

Nine of Swords - Druidcraft TAROT - TAROT ZAMM

Nine of Swords - Druidcraft TAROT

The Nine of Swords is the Eight of Swords turned for the worse. If the Eight of Swords was about feeling trapped because of the way we think, the Nine of Swords has placed us in a very dark place, where peace of mind is absent. We have succumbed to our fears, worries, anxieties and they have actually affected our state of being. We have been overcome by the influences and consequences of our decision(s) or the decision(s) of others.

The Nine of Swords is not just about our thought process, worries, anxieties or even nightmares, but it is about losing control of what happens next after some triggers. With the Nine of Swords, the mind usually has gotten stuck in the deep crevices of our self-created-abyss. We cannot allow this to happen.

In some instances, the Nine of Swords can also signify that we have placed ourselves in an emotionally exhausting and tumultuous relationship – most probably a codependent relationship. We have been ignoring all the warning signs, hoping and feeling that we can be the enabler in such a relationship, only too late to realise, that we cannot even enable ourselves anymore. We have continuously disregarded our well-being. We have left all issues to pile up – one after the other. We have made ourselves too vulnerable by immersing and remaining in a destructive relationship far too long. As a result, all these “Swords” have stripped us of our self-awareness, reason, and our ability to instinctively protect and care for our self (self-preservation) . We have left our self open to all forms of vulnerabilities and disharmony.

No matter how difficult and sterile it may seem, we need to rely on logic, and reason, to address our situation with our well-being as the number one priority. Logic will usually give us the answers to help us move to the right direction.

Thoughts in order, thoughts that move us to action, thoughts that empower, thoughts that help us see things clearly – are the thoughts we need in order to remove ourselves from a Nine of Swords situation. If we are not able to do this on our own, we need all the help we can get, from our family and friends and even from a professional. We should not be afraid or shy to ask for help.

We need time and all the help we can get – to heal, clear our heads and make us able to function optimally again.

With the Suit of Swords, the significance will always be about our thoughts, state of mind, perceptions, reasoning, logic and decisions. We are only helpless and lost when we allow ourselves to be. Our thoughts can either empower or maim us. It is the conscious choice we make everyday that can save us from all the traps and complications of the Nine of Swords.

April 2012 TAROT Forecast – Knight of Pentacles

Court Card, Monthly Forecast, TAROT, TAROT Suit - PENTACLES No Comments »

April 2012 TAROT Forecast focuses on The Prince of Pentacles – Knight of Pentacles

The Prince of Pentacles – Knight of Pentacles signifies the growing energy of stability, travel by land, good news about material pursuits, and opportunities that still require a lot of work that could potentially yield to material success.

Knight of Pentacles - Prince of Pentacles - Druidcraft TAROT

Knight of Pentacles - Prince of Pentacles

After our test of Strength for March, we are now entering a phase where we need to focus on finding stability and working on the pursuit of our goals. We will be given many opportunities to do this, this month of April 2012. We need to seize these opportunities as they will most likely bring financial rewards, and a very well balanced and grounded sense of self, as a result. We need to build ourselves, put our plans into action and practice the skills we want to strengthen.

The Prince of Pentacles card is a harbinger of good fortune, provided we make sure we work and enhance this influence. The influence is great but very young and needs all the work we can put into. We should never take such influence for granted otherwise, it will be such a huge waste.

Hence, with the Prince of Pentacles for April, it is wise to to pause and re-think our strategies. We need to make sure our plans are realistic, achievable and ones that will yield long term benefits. We also need to make sure we have our map (looking forward), our strategy (the sword), our tools (the horse) and our solid fall back plan(s) (shield), to ensure fruition.

We need to follow a well-laid plan, a new direction and the steps that lead to doable actions and desirable outcomes. When we feel that we have stumbled into something that is good and promising, then we need to make sure we make the most of it. These influences are crucial in achieving our goals within this year (2012) or shortly right after (until mid-2013).

The Prince of Pentacles could also be seeing us moving house within our locality or traveling by land. There will also be small but significant developments to your plans, projects and / or circumstance. The energies involving a very emotional situation will have a reprieve, where you will be given the opportunity to discuss and talk about issues in a very grounded and reasonable manner. It will be productive.

In knowing this, the Prince of Pentacles advises us to look at our coming move or journey – be it a physical, spiritual or a new phase in life – with practicality, preparedness and a healthy dose of enthusiasm towards our new environment or experience, all of which add on to the growth and stability we constantly aim for.

The Prince of Pentacles is all about taking small but sure steps. It is better to move on a steady pace to lessen mistakes and disappointments.

The Prince of Pentacles would like us to grow in patience, so we can do things practically and tangibly.

The Prince of Pentacles also imparts the lessons of persistence, consistency and the realistic approach to pursuing our goals!

The Prince of Pentacles presents us with one of those very few occasions when it is best to take our time in recognizing what we need to do – standing by our plans, and stubbornly adhering to the best way we know that would serve our purpose and deliver our desired outcome.

Eight of Cups

MINOR ARCANA, TAROT, TAROT Card of the Day, TAROT Suit - CUPS No Comments »

Eight of Cups

The COMPANION BOOK describes the Eight of Cups as: “A relationship, work, project or creative endeavour may have fulfilled its purpose, and it may now be time for you to move on. One of the hardest wisdom of the heart to acquire is knowing when to leave a situation, to let go. There is no need to blame anyone or anything in the past for your decision. Instead, see the future calling to you as you give thanks for, or acknowledge, the experiences of the past.”

TAROT Card of the Day – TAROT Lesson:

Sometimes, we reach a point in our life when we have done everything to make things work or have tried our best to make sense of why things work the way they do, yet we fall short. We become conflicted with ourselves with regard to the notion of moving on. Most of us would like to stay to see things through, as we truly believe in loyalty.

Eight of Cups - Druidcraft TAROT - TAROT ZAMM

Eight of Cups - Druidcraft TAROT

What we fail to see is, sometimes moving on and letting go is not a lost or defeat but is actually victory, in terms of coming and sticking by a tough decision to move forward. We have to struggle between our sense of loyalty to the cause we’re fighting for or for our well-being. It is also not surprising to wake up one day and realise that we have actually forgotten what it was we were fighting for and what was the cause that lead us to the current situation. It is unwise to wait until all things have failed before we decide to let go. Oftentimes, when we do that, we soon realise that we have expended all our strength and have nothing left for ourselves to push forward. It would be too late, by this time.

When we see the Eight of Cups, it talks about these kind of situation and is actually encouraging us to let go, cut the ties, to not look back and just keep moving forward. We need to live our lives the way it must be lived and find the best avenue to grow – not just through strife and hardships (though these build character) but also through joy, happiness and passion. We are encouraged to free ourselves from anything that does not contribute to our sense of well -being. We are advised to move forward to preserve what’s left of us and to salvage the almost empty “cups” in our life, while there remains hope of finding ways to fill them up once more.

The Eight of Cups is not just the actual decision of moving on, but it talks about the state of emotions we struggle to arrive at such a decision. We always dither with the thought of “maybe things will work if I soldier on and stay”…”Maybe I just need to give more and things will get better”….”Maybe I am meant to stay and see this through no matter what”…Maybe..Maybe… versus the thoughts of.. “Maybe when I leave, I will find life worth living again”….”Maybe in letting go, I am actually learning more and I also help the other person(s) find their own path”….Maybe in moving on, I will find my calling and be able to be the best of me”….

The Eight of Cups calls us to do something really difficult – to let go and move on. If we focus on the reasons which are growth, life, acceptance, learning and freedom from the things that have bound us for so long, then this is something seriously worth considering.

King of Cups – TAROT Card of the Day

MINOR ARCANA, TAROT, TAROT Card of the Day, TAROT Suit - CUPS No Comments »

King of Cups

The COMPANION BOOK describes the King of Cups as “a man of wisdom, compassion and artistic sensibility. He is the accomplished bard who has attained success and maturity in an artistic or cultural field. Jovial, caring, intuitive, tolerant and sincere, he responds to the needs of others .As a lover, his intense feelings may be experienced as demanding. When not denoting a person, this card may indicate either a spiritual group or path concerned with ritual, or may refer to a spiritual, therapeutic project.”

TAROT Card of the Day – TAROT Lesson:

When we think of love and emotional fulfillment, we always hope for the King of Cups, where we always envision a partner who is loving, emotionally mature and is in touch with his/her emotional side. A partner who is genuinely concerned about our happiness and well-being, who puts us on top of his/her list, just loves us for who we are and still adore us in spite of all our flaws and faults.

King of Cups - Druidcraft TAROT

So we get to wonder, when this will ever happen or will it actually ever be possible to find such a partner? We also wonder why we always fall short of our expectations when it comes to our romantic relationship?

The answer lies within the King of Cups. We need to be imbued by it and to reflect its energy in order to attract our ideal mate. The King of Cups priority, however, is for us to progress in our pursuit of self-acceptance – in loving who we truly are, and acknowledging and working towards harnessing our potentials to the fullest. We need to be able to see the good in ourselves, the genuine desire to care and share the love we abundantly have, without expectations. With the King of Cups, we have become emotionally mature and independent that we have so much love and affection to give. We are finally able to enter into a relationship because of love and not out of need.

Being the King of Cups is also about pursuing self-awareness with regard to our our emotions and how we can affect those we interact with, based on our moods and feelings. It encourages us to be the King of Cups for other people, but not just with regard to romantic relationships. It is reminds us to also put into consideration what other people think and feel about our actions and their consequences. But remember to strike a balance in achieving the best outcome possible, without disregard for ones own welfare.

The King of Cups also encourages us to overcome our tendency of resorting to emotional manipulation, when we see or feel our relationship is coming to a head. The King of Cups teaches us to appreciate love while while it remains with us. When the end comes, we should learn from the experience so we can bring all the wisdom and the good to help the next relationship work far better and to hopefully make it lasting – to remain with us until our last breath.

The energy of the King of Cups is active. It is an energy that really pushes us to manifest our emotional desires so we can express them fully. The King’s energy is all about action and accomplishment. It will not be stopped or hindered by the challenges it faces along the way. The King of Cups touches us to be wise and mature, so we can find emotional fulfillment for ourselves and positively influence those we cross paths with.

When we ourselves have become the King of Cups for others, then will we meet the one who becomes the King of Cups for us.
